Claim your handle in three easy steps
About RyderRyder is introducing the first social wallet.
Ryder embeds your decentralized identities with NFC (near-field communication) in hardware. Through this, you can now use your on-chain assets in the physical world.
Think of your handle, or namespace, as a traditional internet username. You use it to sign in to applications, and with crypto, you can also use it to send and receive transactions. It’s currently supported on the Stacks ecosystem.
Ryder handles are made up of your chosen username, plus the name of your community e.g. ryder.mega.
Your handles are registered through a smart contract on Stacks, secured by Bitcoin. In short, your handles are anchored on the Bitcoin Blockchain.
Each handle costs ~$5 USD (in STX), plus transaction fees. It needs to be repurchased once a year to stay valid.
That depends on how many you want, but you can only own one handle per account.
If you somehow managed to purchase a handle multiple times (by having multiple tabs open, for example) and are experiencing issues, then look at the FAQs below.
If you tried to purchase multiple handles by sending more than one pre order via the wallet, the registrations will fail. This is because you can only own one domain name per account.
If you want to own more than one handle, you’ll need to use more than one account. You can transfer the first successfully registered handle to a new STX address, then login to the original account and initiate the registration for a second handle, etc.
